The Ashtabula Township Park Commission, in cooperation with Dr. Timothy Kalil, has recently finalized plans for its annual "Patriot Day Tribute Concert".
The Free to the public Patriot Day Concert, once again at Lakeshore Park's Main Lakefront Pavilion will take place on Thursday September 11th, 2014 at 6pm and feature the Buzz Conquest Band.
Also appearing by overwhelming request, the return of Abe Lincoln look-a-like, who this year, will be bringing along his wife, Mary Lincoln. They will meet and mingle with those in attendance.
The Park Commission in cooperation with the concession stand will also offer a "Dollar Treat Night" in conjunction with the concert featuring $1 hotdogs, popcorn, peanuts, ice cream, soft drinks and bottle water to snack on during the concert.
For the first time this year the Park Commission has invited the Lakeshore Cruisers car club as well as all other area car clubs, independent or cruisers to attend and display their specialty vehicles on the lakefront before, during and after the concert.
Also for the first time this year we are encouraging anyone attending the concert to wear patriotic red, white and blue and show your patriotism. The best dressed "Patriots" will be awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards chosen by the Park Commissioners and Park Employees as judges.
The Park Commission invites everyone to come out and enjoy an evening of great music and fun, great "cheap" snacks, beautiful cars and a gorgeous sunset. It is also suggested attendees bring a lawn chair and light jacket for their comfort.
The free community concert is sponsored by the Ashtabula Township Park Commission and musical talent coordinated by Dr. Timothy Kalil. Parents bring your kids, grandparents bring the grand kids. Everyone is welcome!
